Port 3 is an independent film company based in Puerto Rico, dedicated to developing and producing bold, character-driven stories with international reach. We believe in cinema rooted in emotional truth—stories shaped by culture, tension, and the quiet moments that linger long after the screen goes dark.

WHAT WE DO:

DEVELOPMENT
Original films and filmmaker-driven projects.

PRODUCTION
Independent feature films produced from Puerto Rico.

DISTRIBUTION
Theatrical and alternative distribution strategies designed to connect films directly with audiences.

WE DON’T JUST WANT TO MAKE FILMS IN PUERTO RICO.
WE WANT PUERTO RICAN FILMS TO TRAVEL.

That last category is especially useful now because Port 3’s direct involvement in distributing Gone gives the company another identity beyond production.

Our work lives at the intersection of specificity and universality. While our perspective is grounded in Puerto Rico and the broader Latin American experience, our ambition is global. We focus on narrative feature films and select premium projects that prioritize strong storytelling, visual restraint, and a distinct cinematic voice.

Together, we bring a collaborative, disciplined approach to independent filmmaking—balancing creative risk with strategic production and long-term sustainability.

The name Port 3 reflects a point of passage: a place between arrival and departure. It represents transition, movement, and choice—themes that run through the stories we tell. We are drawn to films that leave a mark, challenge perception, and invite audiences into worlds that feel intimate, unsettling, and human.

At Port 3, we are committed to building meaningful partnerships with filmmakers, artists, and collaborators who share our belief that cinema can be both precise and powerful. We create films that travel—across borders, languages, and emotional landscapes—without losing where they come from.
