SYNOPSIS

When seven-year-old Matias is found dead in his mother’s home under suspicious circumstances, the tragedy becomes the most talked-about case in Puerto Rico. His mother, Rebecca Mendoza, a successful yet emotionally fragile attorney, quickly becomes the prime suspect—not by the evidence, but by the fury of public opinion, fueled by viral speculation and the exploitative reach of night time television.

At the center of that media storm is Pedro Suarez, a seasoned and morally bankrupt TV producer of the sensationalist puppet show “La Silla Colorá”, who sees an opportunity to skyrocket ratings by turning Rebecca’s grief and instability into prime-time scandal. He builds a narrative where truth doesn’t matter—only what sells.

As Rebecca spirals under the weight of scrutiny and estrangement from her daughter, Carlos Rodriguez, a retired federal investigator battling his past memories, is discreetly brought in to consult on the case. Carlos finds holes in the police investigation and unsettling truths hidden beneath the official reports. But time is against him, and memory, his greatest tool, is also his greatest threat.

Gone is a dark, emotionally complex psychological thriller about motherhood, memory, and media manipulation. It explores the line between perception and truth, and asks: who gets to control the story when the person living it no longer can?
